The 10 Skyrim NPCs You Wish You Could Marry

There are lots of eligible singles and bachelorettes in Skyrim ready for a strong Dragonborn to take them away. Usually, once you’ve done enough to make the possible partner like you, you just hang out with the right jewelry to see if they’ll accept your offer.

However, not everyone is willing to accept your love. The vanilla version of the game doesn’t let you propose to some people in the area who might make great spouses. The only way to get their attention is to modify your game. They have no idea about your achievements. Relationships are hard.

Jarl Balgruuf The Elder

Jarl Balgruuf in Skyrim

Jarl Balgruuf is one of the first Jarls you’ll probably meet. He is one of the nicest and most responsible lords in Skyrim. Aside from worshiping Talos and hating the Thalmor, he doesn’t want Whiterun to get involved in the civil war. You can count on him to help you out right away.

It looks like Balgruuf doesn’t have a wife, but it looks like the mother of his youngest son Nelkir is not the same as the mother of his older brothers.

Sapphire

Sapphire might not make the best first impression. She was first seen scaring Shadr on one of Riften’s paths. Everyone who meets her can tell she’s a member of the Thieves’ Guild because of how snarky she is. You’ll quickly understand why she is so irritable, though, if you give her some time. Her name is a nickname she’s given herself to keep people from getting too close. She has been abused and mistreated for most of her life.

Sapphire is closed off for a reason, but it would be nice to show someone who hasn’t seen much love and kindness a lot of it. She might have finally revealed her name.

8Saadia

Saadia works at The Bannered Mare in Whiterun and at first look, she might seem like a pretty normal young woman. The opposite is true.

That’s not her real name. Princess Iman from House Suda in Hammerfell is her real name. It’s even more interesting that she is on the run. She says that Alik’r hired guns are after her because she spoke out against the Thalmor. Those who are after her say she’s not what they say; they say she’s either a brave lady or a great liar. Either one could be fun, depending on the type of game.

Teldryn Sero

Sero has always had your back in a world full of people whose qualities aren’t always clear. A Dunmer soldier found on the island of Solstheim, Teldryn Sero is very good at both fighting and using magic and summoning. Being able to call on a flame atronach can help you get out of a lot of trouble.

He usually wears a chitin helmet over his face, but taking it off lets you see the strange dark elf’s face better, and you might like what you see. Unfortunately, Sero seems to be married to his job and only wants to talk about business.

Astrid

Skyrim Astrid Looking At The Player

In all honesty, it was a bit of a risky move. Firstly, Astrid is married. Second, she’s a cruel criminal who does this for a living. Three, you are one of the people she desires death.

You might like the happy murderess if you can get past all of these problems. If you’re in the Dark Brotherhood, you’ll spend a lot of time with your friends and make some fun and scary memories as you assassinate people in Skyrim. You won’t have many chances to offer Astrid your hand because her story isn’t likely to end well. Even if you did, her monster partner would probably eat you right away.

Balagog gro-Nolob

Thieves, assassins and adventurers are all fine and good, but maybe you’d like a more normal partner to balance out your life of stealing from tombs and slaying dragons.

The strange Orsimer Balagog gro-Nolob is staying at a faraway inn. He has a good voice, a lot of money, and a lot of loneliness. He appears eager to converse but acts like he needs to maintain privacy. This is for a good reason: Balagog is really The Gourmet, one of the most famous cooks in the Empire. When you learn that you have to dispose of the orc chef and hide his body in the wine cellar, your dream of a happy home life with him breaks. That’s awful, don’t you think?

Elisif The Fair

Skyrim Jarl Elisif the Fair on throne

So sorry about Elisif. She was married to High King Torygg but lost him. Elisif is now the Jarl of Haafingar and could become Skyrim’s next king. She didn’t learn how to be a Jarl or a Queen, which was bad for her. She’s in a situation she clearly doesn’t want to be in now that Torygg is gone.

Since her husband just died, it might not be the best time for her to start dating again, even if she liked you. That’s not even talking about the political chaos that’s going on. Although, the heart does what the heart wants.

Brynjolf

In the Skyrim Thieves’ Guild, Brynjolf was your first and best friend. He has always been on your side. It’s clear that the charming con artist has seen something in you from the moment he meets you in the Riften marketplace and offers you a part in his plan.

Avulstein Gray-Mane

With their bright white hair, the Gray-Manes are one of the easiest groups to spot in Slope Game. Whatever age they are, their hair is pure white. Although he shouldn’t be there, that could help you figure out who the man is who is hiding in their house.

Serana

The best vampire in Skyrim is Serana. She comes along early in Dawnguard’s story and stays with you through the DLC quest’s ups and downs. As you travel with her, it’s easy to get to know her better because she’s more active than most fans.
